For the last seven years, Argentina has been competing in the World Group, advancing to the quarter finals every time and becoming the number two on the Davis Cup ranking by the ITF.
High Competitive Intensive Tennis Program
The High Competitive Intensive Tennis Program (HCITP) includes tennis training, fitness conditioning, airport transfers and accommodations.
This program is for national and international professional tennis players. Work plans complement each player’s calendar of competitions, and aim to ensure that players attain their technical, tactical and physical conditioning peak.
Training and competing with players from different nationalities at the Academy provides participants with a great multicultural experience.
Other additional services such as nutrition, psychological counseling, Spanish lessons, and tournaments participation are optional and one can subscribe to them once in BA.
Objectives
The main objective of this development program is to prepare players to high competitive tennis; providing them with a well-rounded tennis game with variants.
A personalized tennis training program geared towards the general and specific demands of high competitive and professional tennis; preparing players technically, tactically, physically and mentally to succeed.
The Program
The HCITP features intense Tennis Training sessions (double sessions) -covering all the strokes, situational play and competitions- and Physical Fitness preparation.
Private and group classes are combined in accordance with the needs of each player. The former, focuses on refining techniques and the latter covers more areas, situational play and competitions.
First, a check-up and analysis of the player is undertaken, and then a work plan is designed based on the amount of time the player plans to stay at the academy.
Training focuses on technical, tactical and physical fitness development. Including double sessions (morning and afternoon) of training over 5 days each week.
Players can participate in private and group sessions with the academy’s regular attendees and other players who are temporarily training there.
With respect to physical fitness, an evaluation is done first and training objectives are set later.
Work plans are established to improve all the strokes and more complicated strategic models of play are practiced based on the strengths of the player. The physical fitness regimen is designed to match this technical/tactical training.
At the conclusion of each week, a progress analysis is undertaken together with the player, and objectives for the following week are set.
At the end of the player’s stay, a full report with observations on techniques, tactics and fitness is prepared for the player.
The tennis training is coordinated by a staff of professional tennis coaches and pros that will follow together each player’s progress.
The HCITP is done by a team of former ATP, ITF, European Interclub’s and Argentinean professional tennis players with many years of experience in developing professional tennis players.
